The Gallivant has opened a new treatment room in their Beach Hut, offering products from Wideyein Rye High Street.
The Gallivant is a hotel and restaurant directly opposite Camber Sands, looking across into sea grass fringed dunes.
The reports I have heard is that the food is excellent. The menu is varied and looks delicious.
The Gallivant has 20 luxury rooms, many with private decks and gardens and a guest “larder” stocked with a plethora of delicious treats. It has also a three star rating from the SRA (Sustainable Restaurant Association).
The Gallivant opened the Beach Hut on September 5. It sits in the corner of the coastal garden, a peaceful oasis to enjoy a deeply relaxing massage or revitalising facial. It is open throughout the day and into the early evening.
Expert therapists can help you to unwind and de-stress with massages and anti-ageing facials, using botanically sourced ingredients and products which are safe for pregnancy or sensitive skin.
It was the brainchild of Harry Cragoe, the owner of the Gallivant, who was described to me as an entrepreneur, loving to implement new ideas like the Beach Hut. He also believes in working in partnership with the local community. His ethos is to source food locally and a lot of the furniture was made by a recycling group which included people with disabilities. With his wife, Siegrid, he has forged a partnership with Wideye at the end of Rye High Street, towards Landgate, where one can buy the natural products used in the Beach Hut. Wideye also offers massages and other treatments.

It looks like a shed and in reality is a shed. However, I’m sure they’ll be lots of Londoner’s who will come down and rave about their time in the ‘beach hut’
David, I guess it could be a shed but within the Gallavant garden landscape and once inside it feels wonderful, like a beach hut, I used to spend time in one in Bexhill but this one smells much nicer. Heidi
