Every little helps as the saying goes and it is a bit of good news for local traders and shoppers alike as Rother District Council have confirmed that shoppers and visitors attending events will be given a festive gift with pay and display charges being suspended on selected days in the run up to Christmas.

The usual charges will be waived in the council’s off-street pay and display car parks in Bexhill, Rye and Battle on selected Saturdays in November and December.

Pay and display charges in the off-street pay and display car parks will be suspended on the following days:

Battle November 30, December 7 and 14.
Bexhill December 7,14 and 21.
Rye December 7,14, and 21.

Parking rules, including time limits on spaces, will still apply and anyone not complying will still be liable for the standard charge. More information is available online.
