Day and night parking issues

It’s been a while so I thought it was time for another car park photo. This shows Rye station car park on a Wednesday evening. The car park spaces are full, but there’s still plenty of room for another Day Aggregates lorry. I have spoken to a helpful member of staff at Rother District Council parking department who agreed that Rye has a parking problem and that moving the coach parking to Gibbet Marsh would be a good solution. He informed me that the only way this could happen is if the Rother councillors agreed to it in a council meeting, so he suggested emailing the councillors. I have included the work email addresses of councillors Lord Ampthill [cllr.lord.ampthill@rother.gov.uk] and Sam Souster [cllr.sam.souster@rother.gov.uk].

So if you think a better use of the coach parking area would be for cars rather than as an overnight lorry park please email the councillors asking for the coach parking to be moved to the Gibbet Marsh car park. Just for information, the councillors are up for election in May so hopefully they are listening to the people of Rye about the parking issues.
