The Community Shop’s sixth funding round since moving to 41 Cinque Ports Street will bring the total grants it has handed out to a total of £75,069, which includes £20,000 to be awarded by Amber Rudd, its president, on Friday May 3.
Details of recipients will be given out then. All monies raised are thanks to the hard work of the volunteer staff and the generous support of the local community.

Many thanks to Rye Community Shop volunteers for the great award made to the Rye and District Street Pastors. We were awarded £1000 which will cover the costs for our SP car donated by Sussex Police. for the year 2019-2020, that is, the Road tax, insurance, MOT and Service
The volunteers undertake this task diligently and must be acknowledge for their tremendous contribution to our local community. Rye and District Street pastors serve our community for users of the night time economy on alternate Fridays in Camber and alternate Saturday in Winchelsea, Rye Harbour and Rye.
This is our second donation from the volunteers of Rye Community Shop and we are very grateful to all the volunteers for making this possible.
Many thanks
