A garden safari around Udimore

A garden with a view

On Sunday afternoon, June 16, between 2 and 6pm, do make the most of a rare opportunity to visit six beautiful Udimore gardens: Hammonds, 2 Hammonds Cottages, Perryfield House, Valley View, Wick Oast and Beauchamps.

They vary in size and gardening style, but they’re all at their very best at this time of year. If you follow the conspicuous signs displayed along the main road, tickets and a map will be available at the first garden you come to (£6 per adult, children free, for entry to all six gardens, in aid of St Mary’s church funds). At Beauchamps you’ll be able to buy home-propagated plants and home-baked teas (served by the Friends of St Mary’s). There’s plenty of off-road parking at all six gardens. Udimore gardeners look forward to welcoming you to their first safari for four years, and only their second safari ever.
