Aladdin (PG) 128 mins
A charming street rat. A sheltered princess. A blue genie who holds the key to their future. Guy Ritchie brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to Disney’s vibrant tale of identity, happiness and freedom in the fictional city of Agrabah. A street rat frees a genie from a lamp, granting all of his wishes and transforming himself into a charming prince in order to marry a beautiful princess. But soon, an evil sorcerer becomes hell-bent on securing the lamp for his own sinister purposes.

This live-action remake stars Will Smith as the genie; Mena Massoud as Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine; and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. Legendary composer Alan Menken provides the score, which includes new recordings of the animation’s original songs as well as two new numbers written by Menken and award-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land, The Greatest Showman).
