On Monday July 1, Derek Bayntun handed over the reins to ‪Roger Evans as the new Rye Rotary Club President at a dinner held at the Flackley Ash Hotel, Peasmarsh. Our thanks to Derek for leading us during the previous year, in which we faced a number of challenges, not least storms putting off our cycle ride. However, we still managed to raise many thousands for local charities and good causes.

Congrats Roger
The Music Well would like to thank Derek for his support over his time as the Rotary Club President. He has done such a lot for the community. We are also delighted that the reins have been handed over to Roger. He is one of our star singers at the Music Well singing group… He will make an excellent President and will hopefully introduce singing to the regular meetings at Flackley Ash!
