Conversations with Nature – Caroline Fraser photography

Caroline Fraser is one of the resident artists at The Creative Centre, Rye. In this photographic exhibition at Rye Art Gallery she will be showing new works from Camber Sands and further afield.

Caroline’s work is a response to the beauty and infinite variation of objects found in nature, along with a concern for the natural environment. Her quiet representations of mood and place are created with an emphasis on the intimate details within nature, using abstraction, texture and layering. Her love of remote landscapes has taken her to the highlands of Scotland, Iceland, New Zealand’s South Island and most recently Greenland. 

In this exhibition she shows new works from the sea at Camber alongside abstracts from the sea wall, using some exciting new materials such as prints on metal that capture the light of the setting sun on the sea as if it were alight.
