On a frosty Sunday winter morning more than 150 Santas, reindeer, elves and Christmas puddings – and a few people – gathered in Alexandra Park, Hastings, for St Michael’s Hospice’s annual Santa fun run.

Three lads from Beckley Rangers U18s – Nathan Pagden, George Ball and Joseph Fraser (pictured, left to right) joined the 5km run, with George finishing in first place. All the boys have had family members or friends who have been affected by cancer and wanted to do the run in support of the hospice.

Section 5 drummers kick-started the event and got everyone in the Christmas spirit, while volunteers handed out free mince pies. Children also had the opportunity to meet Father Christmas in his grotto.
