Roadworks in Church Square in Rye this week are just a taste of disruptions to come as the first phase of overnight roadworks in Hilders Cliff, the High Street and The Mint starts from Monday January 20 until January 27. This first phase concentrates on the kerbs.
This phase will be followed by work on the road surface itself. Cars should be removed from Hilders Cliff, the High Street and The Mint by 8pm and not returned before 6 am.Any vehicles left will be removed.
Other roadworks in the area on the A259 and some minor roads may or may not have been disrupted by weather conditions and motorists are advised to keep an eye open for all “Diversion” signs.
