The marriage of Edward Heard and Alexandra Romanoff was celebrated at St Mary’s church, last Saturday, February 1. The bride arrived in a closed carriage drawn by two magnificent grey horses. She entered the church escorted by her mother, Lady Tia Ampthill and her brother Nikita, with a musical accompaniment transcribed from Mozart’s 21st piano Concerto, played on the piano by Theo Adler.
Page boys were Harry and Leon Romanoff and Thea Odell Romanoff was bridesmaid. The service was conducted by The Revd. Canon David Frost, Rector of Rye. The order of service included a reading by Lucy Keane from the Song of Solomon and an extract read by Emily Rieveley from The Velveteen Rabbit, by Margery Williams.
