The 2020 Rye International Jazz and Blues festival, now in its ninth year, takes place from Thursday to Monday August 27-31, the August bank holiday weekend. Three headline acts have just been confirmed to play at St Mary’s church including the award-winning British soul singer Gabrielle who opens the festival on Friday, August 28. This special concert is kindly sponsored by CLS Property Insight and Gaby Hardwicke Solicitors.
Gabrielle has sold over five million records and you can expect to see her perform songs from her impressive career including Rise, Dreams, Give Me A Little More Time, Out Of Reach and songs from her sixth studio album “Under My Skin” released in August 2018. Follow this link for tickets.
British jazz funk giants Incognito perform an evening headline concert on Saturday, August 29 – you will be treated to irresistible grooves and soulful vocals punctuated by the trademark Incognito horns. For their 16th studio album, Amplified Soul, Incognito returned to their jazz-funk roots. If you have not seen them live, this is the band to see so bring your dancing shoes, get into the groove and release your inhibitions! Follow this link for tickets.
On Sunday, August 30 the festival proudly presents the high voltage soul and jazz diva China Moses with a career as a singer as well as presenter for MTV France, TSF Jazz Radio and more.
