In the light of the latest government directives, the Rye Conservation Society has postponed its annual general meeting that was to be held on 1 May followed by its annual lunch.

A leaflet has been sent out to members but, in case this has not been received, please be aware of this change. The society has also cancelled its visit to Charleston on 22 May.

It is hoped that it will be possible to hold the AGM in September and this will be announced by the publication of the annual report, but this depends on the situation at the time and on government advice in the late summer.

The executive committee will continue to meet online and the society will continue to consider and comment on any planning applications submitted.

We wish the best of health to all our members in these troubling and disturbing times.
