Two weeks ago Rye News ran a story announcing that the Rye Community Shop would remain closed until new trustees could be found and appointed. This process is still ongoing, but in the interim the shop has thankfully now reopened, but with limited trading hours, at least for the time being.

Sorry to correct but we’re at 41 Cinque Ports Street and although we welcome donations we are unable to currently take in too many items as we have limited space to store them safely for the recommended 72 hours. We are currently overrun with CDs and DVDs so are not taking any more of these at the moment and ask donors to be patient with us as we try to adjust to the new way of working. Thank you
