And then there were three

Every journalist looks for a scoop as it stimulates interest and, more importantly, gets more papers read. But this article is not so much a scoop, but a ‘Knoop’ or, to be precise, a trio of Knoops, as at the end of this month, October 2020, Knoops opens in Kensington High Street which completes a trio of chocolate bars already open in Clapham Junction and Rye where it all started.

It is rare to have the opportunity to report that a business is expanding, but Knoops, the brainchild of Jens Knoop, has gone from success to success in one of the most competitive industries there is and during one of the most difficult trading periods, not seen for many years. What an amazing achievement against all the odds, congratulations Jens.

Jen’s success is not only down to hard work and forward thinking, but his passion for chocolate drinks and coffee is now being shared with a fast growing and very appreciative audience. The regular queues outside his chocolate bar on Hilders Cliff are now the norm and his Knoopologists are able to guide you through his chocolate percentage menu, flavour options and milk choices. Known simply as ‘Knoopology’.

You can visit Knoops in Rye each day between 9am and 6pm at Tower Forge, Hilders Cliff, TN31 7LD. If you are in London you are welcome at his Clapham Junction bar at 64 St John’s Road, SW11 1PS and if you can resist the temptation until the end of the month (and I bet you can’t) you could always check out the latest acquisition and visit Knoops at 80 Kensington High Street, London, W8 4SG.

It makes such a change to be able to report a ‘good news’ story at the moment, it’s very refreshing, a bit like going to Knoops, but don’t just take my word for it, give it a go, treat yourself or discover them online.
