Icklesham Casuals returned to winning form with a 4-1 victory away to Sedlescombe Rangers Development last Saturday.

Looking to put the past two results behind them the Casuals got off to a good start, controlling the midfield with the back three solid and pinning Sedlescombe in their own half for much of the time. The breakthrough came after 20 minutes when centre-half Jack Pullin found himself in an unfamiliar position up front and knocked the ball past the keeper. A second goal was not long arriving when Brad Mepham chipped the goalkeeper from the edge of the area. Sedlescombe reduced the arrears before the interval following a long throw routine with the ball being headed in at the back post by their left-back.

The second half was similar to the first with Icklesham again the better side. Joe Fraser made it 3-1 when he brought the ball down and rifled it home with Phil Badrock regaining his goal scoring touch as he cut in from the right to hit a hard low shot which gave the Sedlescombe keeper no chance to save and completed the scoring.

This Saturday the side is away to Hooe in the league with a 3pm kick-off while the veterans play their second game in the Hastings FA Veterans League against a strong Sidley United team.
