The sun is returning and so is the Hub! The Hub coordinators have been busily working away to prepare for the reopening of the Hub on Rye Hill. There has been a popular outdoor café/takeaway service since 12 April but the doors can finally be opened again to everyone in our local community from Monday, May 17.
There is excitement and anticipation as groups can at last get together again for a proper catch up, exercise class or to have a meeting. The Hub will be welcoming back the Sara Lee Trust, Rye Healthy Living Club Active Friends and the regular scripture group from St Anthony’s.
The Hub is also delighted to welcome new users including Arts on Prescription who provide engaging arts activities promoting mental wellbeing for adults (details coming soon) – but starting with an after school activity club for 7-11 year olds from Wednesday, May 19, and Leela Holistic who will offer restorative practices such as meditation, sound healing and relaxation through yoga classes and retreats.  The Rye & District Day Centre and St Michael’s Hospice will also be returning soon.
Are you interested in booking space for an activity or fancy a change of scene from working at home? Are you a professional looking for a friendly and welcoming space to offer clients counselling, hairdressing, therapies, etc? If the answer is yes, then just give the Hub coordinators a call on 01797 331800 or contact admin@hubonryehill.org.uk and they will be more than happy to help.
Rest assured that the Covid-19 guidance has been updated and the one-way system remains in place with all visitors being required to complete an individual contact details sheet. Groups indoors will be limited to six people or two households and exercise classes will be following the government’s guidance until restrictions are removed. The main entrance will be back in service to allow easier access for all customers and clients.
The Hub coordinators look forward to seeing you soon and don’t forget to try out the fabulously indulgent treats prepared by the Hub’s chef, Paul! Here’s to a much-missed get together!
