Celebrate life, love and friendship and remember your loved ones at the Moonlight and Memories Walk 2021 – and help St Michael’s Hospice at the same time. Join together with family and friends on Saturday, September 18 from 8pm and walk a special 10k in memory of your loved ones. No matter your age or ability, everyone is welcome to take part and share in this time of reflection.

St Michael’s Hospice is excited to announce a new 10k route for 2021 ending at their beautiful gardens in St Leonards-on-Sea, and invite you to light up the grounds with special paper lanterns, which you are welcome to decorate before the event. If you are unable to attend the event in person this year, or would prefer to support the hospice by walking in a place which is special to you, there is the opportunity to sign up for a virtual walk too.

Every participant will receive a Moonlight and Memories Walk medal on completion of the walk.  Early bird tickets are sale at the website.

By maybe winning £2,000

By signing up to play the hospice’s weekly lottery, not only could you be in with a chance of winning £2,000 and 104 other cash prizes every week, you will be making a difference to people living with life limiting illnesses and those in need of bereavement support across Hastings and Rother. Sign up to play today for just £1 per entry, per week.

And cafe’s fundraising

Hospice supporter Amy Thorndike, owner of the wonderful Corridor Café on the High Street in Rye, recently donated nearly £300 to the hospice. She says, “We are usually a café but we decided to do a pop up preloved closet while we couldn’t be fully open – and the first thing we decided was that we wanted to make a donation to St Michael’s Hospice. It’s a charity close to our hearts and with charity shops having been closed for so long it seemed like a good way to raise much needed funds.

We will donate 10% of each clothing sale. Our clients know this when they sign up with us and everyone has been very supportive. So check us out next time you are passing, you never know what treasure you might find.”

Bruni Llovet, head of marketing at St Michael’s Hospice added “We are so grateful to Amy for this lovely idea, it’s a fantastic way to support the Hospice and we are so pleased her clients are supporting this too. We look forward to popping in and having a browse.”
