Since its launch, covered by Rye News in September last year, A Rye Good Time app has gone a long way and remains in the top three best performing town apps in the UK and internationally, but in order to keep up the momentum and to keep the content propelling forward, Arabella Ansar, who is the brains behind this new exciting venture has been busy in the background promoting Rye with new initiatives to attract visitors to the area.

Working in partnership with the Rye Information Point, this spring will see the launch of the Explore Rye audio trail, an audio-text-video which will be accessible via the town app on your phone, under the heading ‘walking trails’. The audio trail will be accompanied by a new Rye Information Point printed town map and information leaflet so all bases are covered.

If you look under the heading ‘information’ on the app you will now find ‘taxis’ where there are taxi details and numbers. Its really easy to use- just click the number on the app and it calls them directly, no more searching for their details and numbers, its all done for you and will prove to be a really useful resource particularly for visitors coming to Rye for the first time.

Did you know that you can also promote your events for free on the app? Again it’s easy to do, just click ‘calendar’ on the town app and then choose ‘submit an event’ from the menu. If you are holding an event, meeting or rehearsal, promoting live music events or a pop up shop this resource is available to everyone and its free. Give it a go, you can follow the link https://aryegoodtime.co.uk/submit/, a community calendar for all to use and see, but don’t forget to submit it 72 hours in advance, so that it can be approved, checked and uploaded.

Rye News readers can also access Rye News directly from this app, just go to ‘news’ and click the link, its easy and straightforward to keep up with your local weekly news and comments.

If you haven’t already, why not download the free app from the app store or Google Play and let Rye News know how you got on. Watch this space for further new initiatives from A Rye Good Time.
