Springing into action

It’s official, Sunday, March 20 is the first day of spring, but the seasons seem to merge together these days and with the climate changing so quickly the garden plants are seemingly confused as they have started to appear with a vengeance.

I’m not a gardener but I like plants and shrubs and living in the sticks now the annual sound of seagulls mating has been replaced with daily birdsong.

The garden plants and shrubs are sprouting early, the dark wet days are getting lighter and drier and there’s colour everywhere at long last, but rather than me rambling on about a subject I know very little about, I’ve added a selection of photos which gives a far better summing up than I could write.

Life is tough at the moment and at times very challenging for many across the world, particularly for those trying to escape war and conflict. It’s very likely things will worsen before they get better so I hope the photos bring a little light relief in the interim.
