Next Talk at Rye Museum Thursday May 12

The next talk at Rye Museum is Thursday, May 12. The topic is ‘Ashdown Forest: ancient landscape of Sussex’ by Geoffrey Mead. Geoffrey is a geography tutor at the University of Sussex, a long-time member and Trustee of the Museum – and a very popular speaker! He describes his topic:

Ashdown Forest is the largest ‘wild’ area near to London and is well known to walkers and visitors; it has a varied and exciting history that stretches back into Medieval Britain and possibly earlier. Its geology and natural history have created a distinctly different Sussex landscape that we will  note aspects of in this talk.

The talk is in person at 3 East Street. Doors open at 7, talk starts promptly at 7:30. Admission is £3 for members and £4 for non-members. Non-members welcome!

The event is finished.
