We are urgently seeking volunteers to help marshal our event on Saturday November 12, as without enough marshals we are unable to run our event. Please email info@ryebonfire.co.uk if you can help.

Do you have a friend or family member, that would be interested in becoming a member of Rye Bonfire Society? We are looking for new members to help support our team with all the ongoing tasks that need to be done to ensure we continue to run a safe and enjoyable event.

We are are also looking for any old pictures, anecdotes, stories or pieces of interest for this year’s programme. Please email info@ryebonfire.co.uk if you have anything in the attic that might be of interest!

  1. Thank you, Neale, but please can you let us know what the situation is with Rother District Council’s decision not to finance the street clean-up after the Rye Bonfire? Will Rye Bonfire Society have to pay the full clean-up cost, or will the society be using its own marshals to clean up? I think most people in Rye would like some assurance that the streets and pavements will be properly cleansed after the bonfire event.
