Thank you, Neale, but please can you let us know what the situation is with Rother District Council’s decision not to finance the street clean-up after the Rye Bonfire? Will Rye Bonfire Society have to pay the full clean-up cost, or will the society be using its own marshals to clean up? I think most people in Rye would like some assurance that the streets and pavements will be properly cleansed after the bonfire event.
