Vaccination centre milestone

Rye Vaccination Centre took a break for a festive lunch on Sunday. The event brought together the pharmacists from Clarity Chemists, Hardik, Ankit, Tejas and Shubham with vaccinators and volunteers.

There was delicious Indo-Chinese food, games and music, providing an off duty opportunity for the Rye “vax community” to catch up. Since late May 2021, the Rye Centre has delivered around 57,000 Covid jabs. This has been a hugely successful community effort involving Rye Partnership, Clarity Chemists, professional vaccinators and volunteer community marshals.

Some ask: “Why are we still vaccinating?”

There are presently Covid cases in Rye, therefore please ensure that, if eligible, your Covid vaccinations are boosted.

NHS England says: “Join the millions of people who have already received their autumn / winter Covid booster. If you are 50 or over or in a vulnerable category, you can get yours. Find out more about the Covid (and winter flu) vaccines here:

Covid vaccination programme

Until Thursday, December 22, the Rye centre will be open for boosters and catch up jabs on Thursdays.

After December 22, the Rye vaccination centre will open ONLY on the morning of Thursday, December 30 but from January to March 2023 it will open on Saturday afternoons. Dates and times will be subject to change, dependent on demand.

We prefer patients to book jabs so that we can plan vaccine supply.
