Carols in the boathouse

Sing-a-long carols in the boathouse at RNLI Rye Harbour was a great success. This was the second time that it had taken place after a gap caused by Covid precautions in 2020 and 2021. Martin Bruce (station chairman) accompanied the carols, throwing in a few extra twiddly bits to amuse the children, and people joined in the singing with gusto. Thank you Round Rye Bay Singers for lending your voices to swell the sound.

This was not a fundraising event: it was a time for all of us at the lifeboat station to give something back to our loyal supporters in the village and local area who keep us going throughout the year.

People stayed on to chat and eat mice pies after the carols and everyone said that they had really loved it.
