Phil Whiteman, commanding officer at Rye for the Sea and Royal Marines Cadets, is pleased to inform us that as 2023 begins there are some changes in the district.
“We say farewell and thank you to Lt Cdr Harmer who has concluded his five year term as district officer. Lt Cdr Harmer will still be in the corps in a new role so please join me in thanking him for his help and hard work during his term and we look forward to seeing him soon around and about the corps. So that means a welcome and good luck to the now Lt Cdr Kennedy who has now taken up the role of district officer.
“Some of you may not know this but Lt Cdr Kennedy was previously a member of staff at Rye, when I was a cadet. We look forward to her first visit as district officer and to working together to improve Rye and the district.”
