A jar of happiness

Every year, from January to December, each time something happens in my life that either gives me pleasure, or that I feel grateful for in some way, I write it on a note, fold the note, write the month on the outside and pop it into what I call my happy jar.

On the January 1, the jar is opened and the contents read in  month by month order. It gives me great pleasure to not only enjoy reading all the little happenings and gestures I’ve noted but to remember them all again and realise just how much my life has been touched by them. It gives me a real boost to start off the new year.
