Many people are still suffering the long-term after-effects of Covid and other viruses and don’t quite know how to get their mojo back. Help is on hand in the most beautiful of settings, Tillingham Wines, with two experts, Sonja Colman of Rye Nutritional Health and Caelia Butcher from Cinque Yoga, on Thursday, March 30.
Sonja’s passion is simply helping people to eat more healthily to feel better. Focusing on simple steps, to create new habits and sustainable change, she loves a challenge and is continually studying and researching, as well as developing new recipes to help her clients with specific goals.
She works with groups and individuals, as well as running events with her partner Caelia Butcher.
Caelia’s passion is helping people to relax and build strength both physically and mentally through the practices of different yoga disciplines and a range of breathing and sensory techniques. She specialises in stress and anxiety management and working with her clients individually, online and through classes and workshops.
Their day retreats at Tillingham bring these two areas together. Starting with a delicious, healthy breakfast, you then have a nutrition workshop giving you handy hints and tips for ingredients you can add into your diet. This is followed by a gentle yoga session, suitable for all abilities. A lovely lunch is then followed by a walk through the vines (if the weather is kind) and a guided meditation session to end the day relaxed and recuperated.
Each day retreat has a different theme – the March one is focused on rebuilding energy levels and supporting immune systems after an illness, and also includes a self-care session showing you face and hand massage techniques to do at home to help you feel better.
Other retreats scheduled for 2023 include:
- June 8 – Finding calm in a chaotic world (stress and anxiety management)
- September 21 – Menopause retreat (how diet, yoga and other relaxation techniques can help manage the symptoms of peri-menopause and menopause)
- November 23 – Ageing well (how changes to diet and lifestyle can help you stay strong and healthy as you grow older)
All the events can be booked here.
