Rye Juniors in good form

This week has seen the Juniors return to action after the half term. The Under 11As returned a 16 run victory over Folkestone U11A team. Top score for Rye was Alex Welch with 10 and with the ball Charlie Cooke took 2-12. A performance enhanced by the fact half the team are two years under age. Equally the U11B team performed to achieve a thrilling single run victory over Tenterden U11B team. George Smith impressed with the bat 12, and all the bowlers performed well. The team is a mixture of boys and girls, and sees Rye begin to develop its girls section.

The U15s endured their first loss of the season at Tenterden on Tuesday. Rye batted first scoring 123-8 off 20 overs. Nathan Paine 23 top scored. Tenterden eased past to win by 8 wickets in 16 overs.

There is still availability to join the Juniors, girls practice on Tuesdays 7pm – 8pm, mixed hardball Wednesdays 6pm – 8pm and mixed softball on Fridays 6pm – 8pm.
