Little Gate Farm in Beckley find paid employment for young adults with learning disabilities and autism, giving them all the support they need to learn the role, adapt to their new workplace and become a real asset to their employer.
They are looking for a minibus driver to help them on a part-time basis working with their existing team of drivers. It’s a rewarding position with further opportunities available for the right person. When they last advertised I thought “this is something I’d like to do” so I applied to join them and now drive a minibus on a part time basis. It’s a really interesting role, no two days are the same, flexibility is the buzz-word and everyone just mucks in.

- Have D1 on your driving licence.

- Work well on your own and in pressured situations
Experience with minibus driving and working with vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential. Duties include.
Picking up our trainees, who have learning disabilities and autism, from various locations around the local area and bringing them to Little Gate Farm / taking them home.
Maintaining good relationships with trainees, parents, and carers, supporting the trainee’s development and professionalism. Hours of Work: Monday – Wednesday plus extra shifts to cover holidays of other drivers.
Two shifts a day, split into: AM shifts, starting at approximately 8am and finishing approximately 10am, picking trainees up and bringing them to the farm.
PM shift starting at 3:45pm and finishing approximately 5:45pm, dropping trainees back home
You will cover Beckley, Hastings, Bexhill, and Battle
Job share will be considered.
£11 per hour. This position will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check and references.
