Rye News is delighted to be able to report an exciting new initiative which will shortly be available to our local and wider community. Soon, as well as being able to read about local news, you will also be able to hear it and listen to “the music you grew up with” on Cinque Ports Radio.

Cinque Ports Radio will soon be bigger, louder and clearer in Rye and the surrounding area!

Cinque Ports Radio comes to Rye

OFCOM have granted Cinque Ports Radio a licence to extend their broadcast area to include Rye, Rye Harbour, Winchelsea, Winchelsea Beach, Tenterden, Peasmarsh, Northiam, Icklesham, Iden and all the areas in between.

Many people in the area already listen to Cinque Ports Radio on 100.2FM or online but will soon be able to tune into Cinque Ports Radio’s very own frequency of 95.1FM.

Owner and station manager James Clark said: “This is such an exciting time for Cinque Ports Radio and Rye. We have always had amazing support from the area and now we have a chance to give Rye something they have never had before, a truly local radio station. Very soon after launch we will open a studio in the town and start broadcasting local shows on the issues that matter to local people along with the music you grew up with.

“If you would like to get involved, please email us on info@cinqueportsradio.co.uk  or call us on 0300 365 1002.

“We are also offering special deals for local companies who would like to join us as our ‘launch partners’ and help support their local community by giving them a voice”.
