I have just had an excellent morning swim in the lake at Rye Watersports.
In addition to the Thursday evening and Sunday morning open water swim times, the lake is now open for swimming each morning 9:00-10:00. This will continue until September. The lake is a good temperature for a wetsuit and non-wetsuit swimmer.
There is a 750M circuit for people training or you can just enjoy the surroundings and the resident grey heron.
After the promises to open the Rye Leisure Centre by the summer came to nothing, it’s great to have a local alternative.
The coffee and brownies are good afterwards!
