On August 10 we published an article entitled Summer is here isn’t it? which featured a few local images depicting scenes of summer. We asked if any of our readers had their own summer shots they felt like sharing with us and we are pleased to be able to feature two this week.

The first is from Peter East-Hall, a photo he took this summer of a hummingbird hawk moth, a stunning shot which speaks volumes, thank you Peter.

The second fabulous photo was sent in by local resident Derek Bayntun featuring him standing in his garden next to his pride and joy, his sunflower which is now over 9 feet high. Is this is record or can you beat it?

If you have any shots taken this summer which you would like to share with us, please send them to info@ryenews.org.uk and we will do our best to publish as many as possible.
