The Open Studio weekend, which took place on September 15 and 16, is an eagerly awaited event each year at the Rye Creative Centre, who are celebrating fourteen years of being at the centre of all things creative in Rye.
The open studios give the public a chance to meet the artists, 30 plus of them, who have their studios there and to talk about their work. It is an opportunity to see something new and exciting and be inspired to sign up for workshops and learn a new skill.
The artists are very welcoming and knowledgeable and there is also an exhibition in the main hall which runs till the end of September. This gives a small taste of what goes on at the centre.
