After last year’s success with Pantostein, Icklesham Panto and Drama Society is on its second production with Jack & the Beanstalk, a classic English fairytale as old as time. The show is directed by ex-dame Peter Meyer. Peter says: “This is our second year as a society and the cast and crew have worked extremely hard to make it a success. Our cast have shown real talent with the help of Yvonne. We also have a great crew, with props and stage design by Karen Salfarlie, lights and sound by Del Smith and music by Nick Warren from the local band The Fieldstone Boys. We are extremely excited to put on a great show for everyone.”

Tickets are selling fast with only a few tickets left for Saturday’s show. The Ben Crocker version of Jack & the Beanstalk is guaranteed to have people laughing in their seats with hilarious innuendos and audience participation, everything that makes a great pantomime.
The story follows Jack who is in love with Princess Demelza but the giant who lives in the clouds demands increased taxes and the princess’ hand in marriage. To pay the giant, Jack is forced to sell the family cow but is tricked by the giant’s evil henchman.

Show dates are 18, 19 and 20 January 2024 at Icklesham Memorial Hall.
Tickets are available at www.ickleshampads.org.uk or www.ticketsource.co.uk/ipads.
