The Rotary Club of Rye & Winchelsea along with Tenterden Club ran a Christmas story competition in the area. A total of 24 schools took part with each school submitting a maximum of three stories from each year group, over 300 stories were submitted. Book tokens and certificates are being presented to winners and runners up over the coming weeks.

President of the Rye & Winchelsea club Eric Bourne said: “It was great for fellow Rotarians to go round the schools in our area and see the wonderful support from the schools and the excitement of the children involved. There are some incredibly talented young writers out there and many of them already asking about this years competition.”

If your school would like to be involved then contact Janet Knuth at the Rye & Winchelsea club who is acting as our liaison.
