This Sunday July 28 sees the launch of the 2024 Rye Arts Festival with tickets sales going live at 6pm.
The 53rd annual Festival promises to be one of the biggest and best yet, with around 60 events in a packed fortnight, including all kinds of music from classical to traditional Scottish fused with the reggae rhythms of dub!
There will be talks by authors, such as the best-selling historical novelist Robert Harris, and people with a tale to tell including Professor Nandini Das from Oxford University who focuses on British colonial India.
A selection of drama and film, including Jack Nicholson in Chinatown, will be served up.
And walking and coach tours in and around Rye, including the ever-popular Winchelsea cellars, the churches of Romney Marsh, and historical walks led by our wonderful Town Crier Paul Goring are certain to prove popular, and are likely to be the first to sell out.
In coming weeks in Rye News we will focus in more depth on the acts coming to the Festival, but in the meantime go to www.ryeartsfestival.org.uk to find out more and book tickets from this Sunday evening!
