New Road Artists’ Autumn Exhibition & Open Studios

We are thrilled to invite you to the Rye Creative Centre for our highly anticipated Autumn Exhibition and Open Studios event this September. This annual celebration of art and creativity is a unique opportunity to explore the vibrant work of over twenty resident artists at Rye Creative Centre

Running from 6th to 21st September 2024, 10AM to 4PM, the New Road Artists Autumn Exhibition showcases a stunning array of fine art and crafts. Curated by Rowena and Alex from ROSA Magazine, the exhibition includes diverse mediums such as printmaking, sculpture, painting, jewellry, photography, and textiles. The works are beautifully displayed in the restored gymnasium of the former school, now a bustling hub of creativity. Admission is free, and there’s ample free parking available for visitors.

The infamous 12ft high exhibition cube was constructed this week in preparation for the event.

On Friday, 20th September 5 PM – 8 PM and Saturday, 21st September 10 AM – 4 PM, we are excited to open our studio doors to the public. This is your chance to meet the artists in their creative spaces, engage in meaningful conversations, and purchase artwork directly from them. The studios will be alive with creativity, offering you an intimate glimpse into the artists’ processes and inspirations.

Special Treats As part of the Saturday event, GroundUp Coffeeshop in Rye will be hosting a pop-up café in the Art Room. Our lovely neighbour Esther will be serving her fabulous coffee and delicious snacks – perfect for enjoying as you explore the studios and exhibition.
