Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a fatal collision involving a lorry and a motorcycle near Camber. Emergency services were called to the scene on Jury’s Gap Road to the east of the village shortly after 12:20pm on Monday, August 12.
The motorcyclist, a 47-year-old man from Hythe in Kent, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The lorry driver, a 46-year-old man from the Romney Marsh, was not injured.
The road was closed for the rest of the day while officers carried out initial investigation work at the scene.
Flowers and tributes have since been left by the roadside at the site of the collision, near the roadworks next to Lydd Range.
The police are asking anyone with information, including CCTV footage, mobile phone footage, or dashcam footage of the vehicles in the area at the time, to come forward.
