Last Sunday July 12 Rye Bowls Club held their 3M’s competition, a fun day open to members of the club wishing to play in pairs. 16 members took part in a ‘round robin’ format with each pair playing 3 ends with every other pair and the individual scores kept as a running total.

This is always a friendly and light-hearted event, writes Rowland Gardner, and once again all enjoyed themselves and had a good afternoon’s bowls

The overall winners were Rex Swain (the Town Crier) and his partner Mick Woods. They were clear winners with  plus 28 points, Rosemarie Crouch (Club Vice Captain) and Don Williams (of Sweet Williams flower shop in Cinque Port Street) were 2nd with plus 11 points.
