Join us on Saturday November 30 for a truly wonderful evening that combines the elegance of opera in the resplendent historic surroundings of St Mary’s Church, Rye to raise funds for Rye Harbour Sailability.

Bringing together renowned opera performers – Paul Hopwood, Thomasin Trezise, and Philip Smith from Glyndebourne and The Royal Opera House, this features classic arias and duet compositions and more as we near the Christmas festivities. Their uniquely relaxed and engaging performances will leave you captivated. Doors open from 6.30 pm. and the performance commences from 7 pm.

Of course, all proceeds will be going to our great local charitable cause. Tickets are £46.00 and include a complimentary glass of superb local English sparkling wine from the Charles Palmer vineyard and delicious canapés from the Deli in Rye. There will also be opportunities to win some amazing prizes in our raffle, including a stay at the Mermaid Inn, hampers, and champers, and much more.

What truly sets this event apart is our commitment to making a tangible difference for those that Rye Harbour Sailability serves. As you may already know, Rye Harbour Sailability is an amazing local charity that enables people with disabilities the opportunity to experience the joy of sailing. We aim to give people of all ages, with a wide range of disabilities, the chance to experience the fun and freedom of sailing with an experienced helmsman and crew at Rye Harbour. By attending this event, you will not only enjoy the magic of opera but also contribute to a great cause. This year we are fundraising for a Wheelyboat that will enable wheelchair users to join in the fun on the water at Rye Harbour.

To book tickets now please email info@ryeharboursailability.org or call 07517 655004. All funds are raised in aid of Rye Harbour Sailability (RHS) registered charity 1183222.

  1. Such a shame about the date as there is another opera evening at the Rye Creative Centre the same night, sponsored by Rye Lawn Tennis
