On Tuesday December 24 at 5pm St Mary’s Church will hold its annual Crib Service. This year we’re putting out a call to parents that are attending to see if their children would like to be part of the nativity that forms the centre of the service. There’s no acting experience required and it’s huge fun, with a service that tells the story of the nativity.
Expect the very best Christmas Carol belters with over 400 friends and families getting together to officially kick off Christmas. Alongside Remembrance Sunday and St George’s Day, it’s the busiest service of the year, so make sure to be there on time to get a seat!
The recipients of the collection at the service are the incredible Sussex charity Family Support Work and Women’s Refuge Centre. Christine Emson will illustrate the incredible work they do at the service. Family Support Work support children and families through difficult times in their lives including low income and poverty, mental or physical ill health, disability, learning difficulties, school non-attendance and exclusion, bereavement, family break-up and domestic abuse. Christmas is a particularly difficult time for many families across our county.
