Last year’s Arts Festival had a quartet in residence and this year, for the first time, there was an artist in residence, Charlie Cobb, who spent his time recording impressions of people, places and events ; running master classes ; talking about his work on the film “Mr Turner” where he actually painted the “Turners”, and finally exhibiting his efforts in the pop-up gallery/studio in “Sweet Memories” in the High Street. Here he is seen discussing his impressions of St Mary’s Church with Churchwarden Anne Wood (above) during his exhibition. (Photo: Christopher Strangeways. Source: RAF)
