Friends of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve will be gathering next Saturday December 5 for a festive beach-clean.
A gentle stroll across the sand and shingle, litter-picker in hand, will soon collect most of the rubbish washed up along the beach by autumn storms.
There is also the chance to see many wintering birds – and then comes the reward of hot soup at Lime Kiln Cottage.
