Chamber music comes home

Nearly three years ago, Brickwall Music and Arts Society, which had organised chamber music concerts at Brickwall House in Northiam since 1967, had to leave its home and become peripatetic after Frewen College, which occupies the House, drew up other plans for the Brickwall Drawing Room.

However, these plans have changed and the new, enlightened management of the College, Principal Nick Goodman and Finance Manager Guy Gore, have kindly agreed to help stage, on February 19, a solo ‘cello recital by Jessie Ann Richardson, which will contain among other lighter pieces, the first two ‘cello suites of JS Bach.

This concert is already sold out but if anyone wishes to join the Society, please contact the Membership Secretary on 01797 225822. Present members are looking forward eagerly to the occasion and hoping it will lead to more concerts in the ideal venue of the Brickwall House Drawing Room.
