The annual Flower and Vegetable Show is coming up on August 20 at the Community Centre on Conduit Hill. The show kicks off at 2pm and prizes will be awarded by His Worship the Mayor, Jonathan Breeds, at 3:30pm. It will be interesting to see what all the rain has done for the fruit and vegetables that will be on show.

The event is open to everyone. There are 54 classes in 6 categories  – vegetables and fruit; flowers, foliage and ornamental; cookery;  photography; handicrafts and children. More details can be found around town – try Adams on the High Street and Bargain Box on Cinque Ports St. The front cover of the programme and the various adverts for the event were designed by children from Rye Community Primary School.

Anyone unable to find a schedule is welcome to contact ryeallotments@yahoo.co.uk

Exhibitors should to bring their entries to the Community Centre between 9 and 11:30.am.
