Rye Chronicle just published

The trustees of the local Chernobyl Children charity are pleased to announce the publication of a series of short stories “Rye Chronicle by a Lady of the Parish” to raise funds for the children’s hospice near Pinsk in Belarus, one of the areas most affected by the Chernobyl nuclear power station disaster. The stories are a lighthearted fantasy purportedly through the “eyes” of such local landmarks as Ypres Tower, the Landgate and others. The author’s tongue was firmly in her cheek from start to finish.

The trustees were very gratified to receive positive responses from a number of writers who saw the manuscript and hope that it will find favour with a wider readership. It would make a unique Christmas stocking filler!

“Rye Chronicle by a Lady of the Parish” is available at Adams on the High Street, the Heritage Centre, Peter Farrow Jewellery in Cinque Ports Street and various other outlets in the town. Price £7.50 Its bright cover is unmissable.

  1. Most amusing, with the added bonus of lots of interesting facts about Rye and its history you may not have known. You’ll want to read it cover to cover.
