Churches in the area are busy organising Christmas services to meet every need, including children who cannot stay up, those who may have stayed up too long, and those who want to go as a family – and here is a list of some near you.

Christmas Eve: Icklesham crib service and Christingle, 2:30pm; Playden crib service, 3:30pm; St Thomas, Winchelsea, crib service, 4pm, and St Mary’s, Rye, crib service 5pm.

For those who stay up: Icklesham Eucharist, 11pm; St Thomas, Winchelsea, Midnight Eucharist, 11:30pm; St Mary’s, Rye, Midnight Mass, 11:30pm; Playden, Midnight Mass, 11:30 pm; Camber Midnight Communion, 11:30pm and  St Anthony, Rye, Mass, 6pm and Midnight Mass, 12pm.

Christmas Day: St Mary’s, Rye, Holy Communion 8 am; Winchelsea Beach, Holy Communion, 9:30am ; Iden, Family Communion, 9:30am; St Anthony, Rye, Mass, 10am; St Mary’s, Rye, Family Communion with Carols, 10:30am; Camber, Christmas Communion, 10:30am; Rye Baptist Church, Family Celebration, 10:30am; St Thomas, Winchelsea, Eucharist, 11am; Playden, Family Communion, 11am and Rye Methodist Church, Christmas Worship, 11:15am.
