Local musician Tommy Lumsden will be performing at Peasmarsh Memorial Hall on Saturday June 3 to raise funds for Steve Lemon’s cancer treatment.
Steve, who started Rye Barbers and has cut the hair of many of the town’s male population, was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in January and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
Steve will then need further specialised treatment, some of which is not available on the NHS, but is urgently required for someone in his condition.
Tommy’s concert will start at 7pm and he will be joined by a selection of artists including covers band Slap Bang, and new musicians Georgia Millie and Arthur Clay. Tickets are £20 which pays for a terrific buffet by River Haven hotel’s superb chef Jason, as well as the entertainment. There is no bar so it’s a Bring Your Own Booze evening.
Saturday’s concert promises to be a wonderful occasion. For those not familiar with the location, and those with Satnav, the venue is on Main Street, Peasmarsh, TN31 6YA.
You can buy tickets and listen to Tommy’s music on his Facebook page.
But more importantly, if you are unable to attend but want to donate any amount to this worthwhile cause please log on to Just Giving where Steve’s sister Debbie has started a fundraising campaign at: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/Stevelemon
