A very successful coffee morning was hosted by the Corridor Cafe in High Street, Rye in aid of Rye Harbour RNLI lifeboat appeal on Monday June 12.
The Cafe team laid on an amazing selection of cakes and scones and the RNLI managed to sell a fair amount of RNLI merchandise.
Andrew Seymour, Rye Harbour Lifeboat Commitee Chairman said: “Customers and passers-by were very generous with donations. All in all, with the 50% of takings from the cafe, the morning made £250 for the new boat. A big thank you to Amy, Emma and Beth, both for the idea of putting on the coffee morning and for their generosity.”
Rye Harbour Lifeboat crew saves lives at sea. We are currently appealing for help to buy a new RNLI Lifeboat.
