With reedbeds, grassland and wetland to explore, Pett Pools and Pett Level are a perfect location for birdwatching, writes Linda Wren. Join our warden Chris along with bird-ringer Phil Jones to explore this rich area looking for wildfowl, waders and birds of prey. Bring a packed lunch and binoculars if you have them. Meet at the roadside pool at Pett Level – TQ 899142 (map ref). Travelling from Winchelsea Beach the Pools are on the right by a lay-by.
